What Made Me Say Yes to a Franchise (When I Could Have Gone Solo)

I’ve been asked this a lot lately:

“Why didn’t you just open your own studio?”

It’s a fair question.

I’ve been in this industry for years—consulting, building, scaling, and supporting boutique studios across the country. I’ve designed programs to help owners launch profitably. I’ve written the playbooks, refined the sales flows, and created the very frameworks others now follow.

I didn’t need a blueprint.

I am the blueprint.

But here’s the thing: I didn’t want to reinvent the wheel just to prove I could.

What I did want was alignment.

Mission. Method. A brand that believed in what I believe—and was bold enough to do things differently.

That’s exactly what I found in True Movement®.

This method? It’s transformative.

This mission? It’s one I’d write myself.

This brand? It’s rooted in purpose, not just performance.

I chose to franchise because I saw something worth joining—something I could help scale with intention. I didn’t want to build alone. I wanted to build with.

With a brand like True Movement®, I know I can bring real value. From operational insights to sales psychology to client journey strategy—I’m not just adopting a system, I’m investing in it. Helping evolve it. Adding my voice to a shared vision.

And choosing Erin as my partner? That was easy.

I’ve watched her lead with integrity, heart, and an obsessive dedication to doing things right—not fast. She’s poured everything she has into this brand, and I trust her completely.

It’s easy to let ego get in the way—especially when you’ve been the one behind the curtain, designing the strategy for so long. But alignment beats ego every time.

This decision wasn’t about what I could build. It was about what I wanted to belong to.

And the truth is, being part of a franchise doesn’t mean you’re limited—it means you’re supported. When the brand is strong, the systems are solid, and the leadership is collaborative, you gain something rare in entrepreneurship: a trusted framework with room for your brilliance.

That’s what True Movement® gives me.

Space to lead. Space to grow. And a foundation built on values I fiercely believe in.

I’ve always been future-focused. I don’t make decisions based on where I am—I make them based on where I want to go.

And I believe this is just the beginning.

As we launch True Movement® in the U.S., my goal is to help shape a new standard in boutique fitness: one where sustainability, longevity, and intentional growth are the baseline—not the exception.

One where owners feel empowered, instructors feel valued, and clients feel truly seen.

That’s the kind of business I want to build.

That’s the kind of movement I want to lead.

And that’s why I said yes to this chapter.

I’m rooting for you,
With love and encouragement,
Beth
